Pause, seek wisdom, and weigh your words before committing

Act quickly and rely on later revisions if needed

Commit first and think later, since consequences can always be changed

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to rule my own life my own way. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. Forgive me, make me new, and lead me in your truth. I confess you as Lord and receive your saving grace. Amen.

Receive the King Who Keeps His Word

Lord, revive your church to take your word seriously and to keep its commitments with integrity. Where we have been careless with truth, rash with promises, or quick to shift with convenience, make us steady again. Form in us a people whose yes is yes and whose lives are marked by faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Steady and Faithful

Thank God that his character does not shift with pressure, that his wisdom is steady, and that his purposes are not fragile. Give thanks for a Lord whose word is more reliable than any human decree.

Thank You for Your Unchanging Faithfulness

Pray by naming the decision in front of you, asking God for wisdom before you sign, speak, or promise, and asking for courage to do what is right even if it costs you.

Before I Commit

Pray for rulers, managers, and officials to act slowly, fairly, and with humility; for their words to be trustworthy; and for their decisions to serve what is good rather than what is convenient.

For Leaders Who Decide

Bring to God any careless promises, half-truths, or impulsive choices. Ask him to shape your words so they are honest, your decisions so they are thoughtful, and your heart so it keeps what it says.
