That God would hear the prayer and urgent pleas

That God’s favor would rest again on the holy place

That the speaker would receive public honor

Because the people have already fixed everything

Bring it to God, ask him to listen, and ask him to restore it for his honor

Wait until you can repair it on your own before praying

Keep silent and assume nothing will change

Ask mainly for recognition because the situation reflects on you

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you in my sin and need. I turn away from my sin and from trusting myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to hear me, restore what is broken in me, and let your light shine in my life. Thank you for receiving me. Amen.

Receive Me, Lord Jesus

Lord, awaken your Church where we have become weary, dry, or desolate. Teach us again to pray with honesty, to bring our pleas before you, and to depend on your mercy. Let your presence shine among us for your own honor, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Restore Your People

Begin by naming one place that feels broken or neglected. Ask God to hear your prayer without pretending anything is fine. Then ask him to renew it and to do so for his own honor rather than yours.

Pray Over One Broken Place

Bring to God these things: the places where you feel helpless; the requests you have been afraid to say plainly; the desire to trust him even when the situation looks ruined.

Learning to Pray Honestly

Pray for a church, home, or city that feels worn down: that God would hear the cries rising there, renew what has been neglected, and let his name be honored in that place.

For What Feels Neglected

Thank God that sincere prayer is not wasted, that no ruined place is beyond his reach, and that he acts for his own purpose and glory. Let gratitude steady your trust while you wait.
