He remains faithful to his covenant commitments

His loyal kindness is for those who love him and obey him

He overlooks disobedience as long as people sound sincere

Confess honestly, love God, and obey him from a thankful heart

Keep failures private but continue using religious language

Assume God's kindness means his commands do not matter

Try to earn God's favor by flawless performance before praying

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you honestly and admit my sin. I have not loved God as I should, and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Bring me into the life of your faithful love and teach me to follow you. Amen.

Come to God in Honest Faith

Lord, revive your people to pray with honesty, confess sin without hiding, and stand in awe of your holiness. Restore in us a deep love for you and a willing obedience that matches our words. Make us a people who trust your faithfulness and live by it, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive a Confessing Church

Thank God for his covenant faithfulness, for his steadfast kindness, and for the mercy that meets honest confession. Give thanks that he is holy and yet near to those who turn to him.

Thank You for Faithful Kindness

Begin by naming one wrong thing plainly before God, without excuses. Then ask him for a willing heart to love him more deeply and to obey his commands from that love.

Pray with Honest Confession

Pray for a friend, family member, or church leader who needs courage to confess honestly and return to God's ways. Ask that they would know his faithful kindness while they repent.

Great and awe-inspiring God, you keep your promises and show steadfast kindness to those who love you and walk in your ways. You are holy, faithful, and good; we praise you and trust you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
