| 19. Formal Translation And they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and they shall give it to the father of the young woman because he has brought out an evil name against a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he shall not be able to send her away all his days. |
| 19. Dynamic Translation The community will require him to pay a hundred shekels of silver to the young woman’s father because he gave an Israelite virgin a bad reputation. She will remain his wife, and he must not divorce her all his days. |
