16. Formal Translation And He {Christos, Reconciling Lord} might reconcile both in one body to God {Theos, Receiving Father} through the cross, and by it put the enmity to death. |
16. Dynamic Translation So that He {Christos, Peacemaking Savior} would bring both groups back to God {Theos, Restoring Father} as one people by means of the cross, and in that way end the hostility. |
