Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus {Christos Iesous, Anointed Savior} through the will of God {Theos, Sovereign Caller}, to the saints who are in Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus.
Grace to you and peace from God {Theos, Fountain Of Grace} our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Mediator Of Peace}.
Blessed be the God {Theos, Fountain of Blessing} and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Mediating Lord}, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing {eulogia: spoken favor} in the heavenly realms in Christ.
Just as He {Theos, Sovereign Chooser} chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, for us to be holy {hagios: set apart to God} and blameless before Him in love.
Having predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ {Iesous Christos, Saving Mediator}, to Himself, according to the good pleasure {eudokia: sovereign delight} of His will.
To the praise of the glory of His {Theos, Overflowing Grace Giver} grace {charitos: unearned kindness}, of which He has graced us in the Beloved.
In Him {Christos, Redeeming Lord} we have the redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of the trespasses, according to the riches of His grace {charis: undeserved generous favor}.
Which He {Theos, Overflowing Grace Giver} lavished upon us in all wisdom {sophia: deep spiritual knowledge} and understanding.
Having made known to us the mystery of His {Theos, Wise Planner} will, according to His good pleasure {eudokia: gracious intention}, which He purposed in Him.
For the administration {oikonomia: stewardship plan} of the fullness of the times, to bring all things together under one Head in Christ {Christos, Cosmic Head}—things in the heavens and things on the earth—in Him.
In Him {Christos, Source of Inheritance} also we have been made heirs, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel {boule: deliberate plan} of His will.
So that we, who were the first to hope in Christ {Khristos, Pioneering Savior}, would be for the praise of His {Theos, Purposeful Planner} glory.
In whom you also, having heard the word {logos: proclaimed message} of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit {pneuma hagion, Promised Sealing Witness} of promise.
Who {pneuma, Assuring Presence} is the pledge {arrabon: Down Payment Guarantee} of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, for the praise of His glory.
For this reason I also, having heard of the faith {pistin: trusting dependence} among you in the Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Exalted Lord} and of the love that is toward all the saints,
I do not cease {pauomai: stop, end} giving thanks for you, making mention {mnēia: verbal remembrance} of you in my prayers.
So that the God {Theos, Generous Revealer} of our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Exalted Lord}, the Father {pater, Source of Glory} of glory {doxa: radiant majesty}, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation {apokalupsis: unveiled truth} in the knowledge of Him.
Having had the eyes of your heart enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His {Theos, Gracious Caller} calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints {hagiois: holy ones}.
And what is the surpassing greatness of His {Theos, Sovereign Empowering God} power toward us who are believing, according to the working {energeia: active operation} of the might of His strength.
Which He {Theos, Resurrection Worker} has worked in Christ {Christos, Exalted Messiah}, having raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms.
Far above all rule {arche: spiritual dominion} and authority and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come {mellonti: future age}.
And He {Theos, Sovereign Ruler} put all things under His {Christos, Exalted Lord} feet and gave Him as Head over all things to the church.
Which is His {Christos, All-Filling Head} body {soma: organic community whole}, the fullness {pleroma: complete abundance} of Him who fills all things in all.
