| 22. Formal Translation And behold, a remnant will be left in it—those who are brought out, sons and daughters. Behold, they will go out to you, and you will see their way and their deeds; and you will be comforted concerning the disaster {ha-ra’ah: calamity, judgment} that I {Yahweh, Sovereign Judge} have brought upon Jerusalem, all that I have brought upon it. |
| 22. Dynamic Translation But look, survivors remain there—a group brought out, both sons and daughters. They will come to you, and you will see how they live and what they have done. You will be consoled regarding the disaster I {Yahweh, Compassionate Comforter} brought on Jerusalem and everything I have caused to happen to it. |
