14. Formal Translation Since, therefore, the children have shared in blood and flesh, He {Iesous, Incarnate Deliverer} Himself likewise participated in the same, so that through death He might abolish the one having the power of death—that is, the devil. |
14. Dynamic Translation Because the children share in being human—with blood and flesh—He Himself in the same way shared in these, so that by dying He {Christos, Death Conqueror} would destroy the one who holds the power of death, namely, the devil. |
