| 4. Formal Translation For thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Just Judge}, “Behold, I am making you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; and they will fall by the sword of their enemies as you watch. All of Judah I will give into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will exile them to Babylon and strike them down with the sword.” |
| 4. Dynamic Translation For this is what the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter} says: “I will make you and all your friends experience terror. They will fall by the swords of their enemies while you witness it. I will hand over all of Judah to the king of Babylon, who will take them into exile in Babylon and kill them with his sword.” |
