If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you are greater than I am, and I need your mercy. I admit my sin and my pride, and I turn from it now. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Be my Lord and my Savior, and lead my life from this day forward. Amen.

Receive the Greater One

Lord, revive your Church to honor Christ above every name we give ourselves. Break our pride, heal our comparison, and make us glad to take the lower place so that your greatness is seen. Awaken fresh reverence, humble service, and joyful obedience in your people, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Humility

Father, I confess that I have wanted recognition and resisted humble service. Forgive me for comparing myself with others and for treating honor as something I deserve. Give me a willing spirit to serve quietly and to rejoice when Christ is lifted up, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Turn Me from Pride

Bring these thanks to God: that Jesus is greater than we are; that his worth does not depend on our approval; that his humility invites ours; that we are not left to earn our place before him.

Giving Thanks for the Greater One

Pray by naming one person you tend to compare yourself with, ask God to free you from rivalry, and ask him to help you honor that person's gifts sincerely.

Pray for a Humble Heart Toward Others

Pray for: one hidden place where you can serve without being noticed; freedom to value lowly tasks; a heart that points others to Christ rather than to itself.
