Come openly through the recognized route and respect the community's trust.

Find a faster route that lets you skip the need for trust.

Use persuasive talk to make people lower their guard.

Push ahead anyway and deal with boundaries later.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to make my own way. I turn from my sin and from every false shortcut. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to bring me into your truth and keep me in your care. Receive me by your grace. Amen.

Come Through the True Way

Lord, revive your Church so we do not force our way in, hide our motives, or chase influence through the wrong path. Make us honest, accountable, and gentle with the people you have gathered. Let your people recognize what is true and turn away from what is false, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Church That Enters Well

Father, protect those who follow you from deceptive voices and from anyone who would come in by trickery. Give them steady discernment, and keep them safe from harm, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Guard the Sheep

Pray by naming one situation where you are unsure who or what to trust. Ask God to show you the honest path, to expose hidden motives, and to help you walk through the open way he gives.

Pray for Discernment

Bring these to God: any habit of pushing for influence without trust, any hidden motive, any impatience with God's slower and honest way, and a willingness to live transparently before him.

Turning from Shortcuts

Thank God for a way that is open and true, for wisdom that exposes deception, for protection that does not abandon the sheep, and for the mercy of being led in the right way.
