They mainly prove the listeners already understand him

Keep postponing belief until every uncertainty disappears

Treat the evidence as irrelevant and wait for a different kind of proof

Assume his works matter less than your own expectations

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you have spoken truth and shown your power, and I need the witness of your life in mine. I admit that I have sinned, resisted your word, and failed to trust you. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Lead me by your truth and make my life point to you. Amen.

Receive the One Who Speaks and Acts

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown slow to believe and quick to dismiss what you have shown. Wake us up to your words, your works, and your authority, and make us a people whose lives point clearly to Christ, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Our Trust in Your Witness

Jesus, thank you that you do not leave us guessing, but give us words and works that reveal who you are. Thank you for evidence that meets our weakness and for patient truth that calls us to faith, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Clear Witness

Pray by naming one work of Jesus that stands out to you, thank him for what it reveals about him, and ask for the courage to trust what he has already shown rather than resisting it.

Pray Through One Sign

Bring these to God: stubborn unbelief, a distracted heart, the need to notice Jesus’ works, and the grace to respond with trust when he speaks.

Growing in Belief

Pray for people who have heard about Jesus but still do not believe: that his words would reach them, that his works would be unmistakable to them, and that they would be drawn into faith.
