Ignore the good and focus only on what unsettles you

Reject the person until everyone else agrees

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. You showed the Father’s good works, and I have not always welcomed your truth. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord. Come into my life, forgive me, and lead me in your way. Amen.

Lord, awaken your Church to see and honor the good you do. Where we have become suspicious, stubborn, or quick to resist what comes from you, soften us. Make us a people who recognize your works, speak truth with courage, and never answer goodness with violence. Renew us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Honor Goodness

Father, thank you for the many good works Jesus has shown. Thank you that his deeds reveal your heart and your care. Open my eyes to recognize what is good, receive it with gratitude, and praise you for it, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Many Good Works

Begin by naming one good thing you have seen in Jesus or in someone serving faithfully. Then ask God to help you evaluate it honestly, without suspicion, and to keep you from reacting with hard-heartedness.

Pray for Fair Sight

Pray for believers, leaders, and servants who are misunderstood while doing what is right. Ask God to give them courage, patience, protection, and a steady heart when their good work is resisted or attacked, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Opposed While Doing Good

Pray for a heart that notices real goodness, listens before judging, and refuses to join hostility. Ask God to shape your speech, thoughts, and reactions so they match what is truly good.
