Name the hard place plainly and invite Jesus to come near

Keep the problem at a safe distance and only talk around it

Wait until everything is explained before approaching

Offer sympathy but avoid getting involved

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to lead my life. Come into the places I have hidden, forgive me, and be my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Come Into My Life

Lord, revive your Church so we do not stand far off from hurting people. Teach us to come near, ask honest questions, and stay with those who grieve. Make us a people who carry your compassion into the places of loss, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Draw Near

Father, I bring you the place in my life that feels buried, painful, or confusing. Give me peace to name it honestly and grace to let Jesus come near, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bring Peace to the Hidden Place

Name one difficult situation out loud, ask God to show you where it is and what it needs, and then ask for one next step you can take today.

Pray Over One Hard Place

Pray for people who need company in grief, for families around a place of loss, and for the courage to bring comfort without rushing the pain.

For Those Who Are Mourning

Bring these to God: honesty about what is hurting, willingness to invite Jesus close, and trust to keep seeking him when answers are slow.
