Lord, revive your church so we do not cling to status or comfort. Make us glad to take the low place, quick to serve one another, and eager to meet ordinary needs with joy. Let our communities reflect the humility of the one who taught by example, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Humble Service

Thank you for showing that true authority can kneel and serve. Thank you that teaching and care belong together in you. Teach us gratitude that becomes willing love, and help us receive your example with joy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Humble Leadership

Father, loosen my pride and make me willing to do the hidden task, the ordinary chore, and the work that no one notices. Give me a willing heart to serve others without needing honor, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Me Willing to Do the Lowly Task

Begin by naming one relationship or setting where you tend to protect your status. Ask God to show you one lowly act of service you can take, then ask for grace to do it gladly.
