It happened while the meal was still in progress.

Leave private resentment alone as long as no one else sees it.

Assume inner thoughts do not matter if outward behavior looks calm.

Wait until a sin becomes obvious to others before taking it seriously.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, my heart has been pulled toward sin, and I need your mercy. I admit that I have turned from you in my thoughts, words, and actions, and I cannot clean myself up. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to be my Lord and my Savior. Guard my heart, forgive me, and make me loyal to you. Amen.

Lord, Save My Heart

Lord, revive your Church where hearts have grown careless, divided, or open to hidden sin. Expose what is dark, cleanse what is stained, and make us faithful to you before temptation takes root. Give us watchful hearts, honest repentance, and courage to obey, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your People Faithful

Father, where resentment, pride, secrecy, or compromise is taking root in me, bring it into the light. Protect my heart from deceit, help me turn away quickly from what is evil, and keep me loyal to Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Cleanse What Is Hidden in Me

Pray by naming one hidden motive, resentment, or temptation you are carrying. Ask God to expose it early, give you a clean heart, and show you one obedient step to take today.

Pray Before the Damage Is Done

Pray for: a friend or family member under strong temptation; someone carrying secret resentment or hurt; courage for the Church to speak truth and offer help before sin hardens.

Protect the Vulnerable

Thank you, Lord, that you do not leave us blind to danger. Thank you for showing how the heart can drift and for giving us grace to turn back, stay honest, and walk in the light.

Thank You for Warning Us
