Feeling admiration without changing anything

Saying his name often while ignoring his instructions

That person no longer needs to care about Jesus' words

Choose one teaching of Jesus and put it into practice this week

Admire Jesus privately but treat his words as optional

Wait for a strong feeling before doing anything he says

Keep his words only when other people notice

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way. I need your forgiveness and your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Come into my life, lead me in obedience, and make your home with me. Amen.

Come Home to Jesus

Lord, revive your Church so that our love for Jesus is not only in words but in obedience. Bring us back to listening well, keeping his teaching, and welcoming your presence among us. Make us a people who truly live with you and for you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to Love and Obey

Father, thank you that you love those who love your Son and draw near to them. Thank you that you do not leave us alone, but come close and share your life with us. Help us receive that gift with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Nearness

Pray by naming one teaching of Jesus you want to keep this week. Ask the Father to help you love Jesus enough to obey, and ask for one concrete step you can take today.

Ask for Help to Keep His Word

Pray for: a home or family that needs God's peace; a church community to live in loving obedience; someone who feels distant from God and needs to know he draws near.
