If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and lived apart from your loving rule. I need your mercy, and I cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and open my life to you. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord, and I want to follow your commands as your friend. Thank you for receiving me. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church so we do not only call you Lord, but also live like your friends who trust your words. Awaken love in us where obedience has grown cold, and make our lives quick to follow what you command. Let our fellowship with you be visible in humble, joyful obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive a Church That Obeys with Joy

Bring to God gratitude for being called into friendship with Jesus; thank him that his commands guide rather than abandon; praise him for a relationship that is personal, close, and real.

Gratitude for Friendship with Jesus

Father, give me a willing heart to do what Jesus asks. Where I hesitate, strengthen me; where I resist, soften me; where I only agree in words, move me into action, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Willing Heart to Obey

Pray for believers around you to take Jesus' words seriously, for your church to show friendship with him in daily obedience, and for your witness to be marked by trust rather than excuses.

Friends Who Live What Jesus Says

Name one command of Jesus that you are struggling to keep. Ask God to help you obey it today, tell him where your resistance is strongest, and thank him for calling you into friendship with him.
