They would not have been responsible for it

They would already have been fully forgiven

They would have been innocent in every way

Wait until it seems smaller before dealing with it

Measure yourself against others to feel less guilty

Keep silent and hope it stops bothering you

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to hide behind excuses. I cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Speak your truth into my life and lead me out of hiding. Amen.

No More Hiding

Lord, revive your Church by making us love your truth more than our defenses. Give us hearts that welcome conviction, confess sin quickly, and walk honestly before you. Let our witness be marked by humility, repentance, and courage to obey, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Us to the Truth

Father, I confess the places where I have explained away what you have shown me is wrong. Forgive me for self-protection and half-truths. Give me grace to repent, to tell the truth, and to receive your mercy with humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Done With Excuses

Pray by naming one area where you tend to make excuses. Ask God to show you what Jesus' words reveal there, then ask for courage to confess it plainly and take one obedient next step.

Ask for One Honest Place

Pray for people who have heard God's truth but are still hiding. Ask the Lord to soften their hearts, remove fear, and bring them from denial into freedom and repentance.

For Those Still Hiding

Bring these to God: gratitude that his truth can expose sin to heal it; a desire to love honesty more than self-justification; willingness to welcome correction as mercy.
