Keep returning to Jesus' words and letting them shape choices

Treat Jesus' teaching as important only for the future

Focus mainly on looking spiritually polished to other people

Assume that being clean means correction is no longer needed

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot make myself clean. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord. Speak your cleansing word into my life, make me yours, and lead me in new obedience. Amen.

Receive the Word That Cleanses

Lord, revive your Church by the word of Christ. Where we have become dull, self-reliant, or careless, speak again and make us clean. Let your people hear, trust, and obey what Jesus has said, so our lives show your transforming power, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church by the Word of Christ

Father, thank you that our cleanness rests on what Jesus has spoken, not on our performance. Thank you for a word that corrects, forgives, and renews. Keep me grateful for your cleansing grace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Cleansing Grace

Pray by naming one area where you need Jesus' word to reach you. Ask him to show you what is unclean, give you a willing heart, and help you receive his correction with trust.

Listen for the Word That Cleanses

Bring to God any habit, fear, or pride that keeps you from receiving Jesus' teaching. Confess the places where you would rather manage appearances than be changed from within, and ask him to make you open and clean.

Where I Resist Your Word

Pray for a person who feels stained by guilt or shame: that they would hear Jesus' word, trust his cleansing grace, and rest in the truth that he can make them clean.

For Someone Burdened by Shame
