Decide that the larger benefit makes the smaller loss acceptable.

Pause and judge the proposal by the dignity of every person involved.

Focus on the practical result and set aside the human cost for now.

Let the most powerful voice settle the matter.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my need for mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for giving your life for people like me. Come into my life and lead me. Amen.

Receive the One Who Gave Himself

Lord, wake your Church from every habit of treating people as expendable. Give us courage to defend the weak, wisdom that refuses cheap answers, and compassion that values each person. Renew our witness so it reflects your heart more than the world's calculations, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Keep Us from Measuring People by Usefulness

Thank God for mercy that does not measure human beings by convenience; for a saving purpose that reaches many; and for the reminder that every person matters to him.

Grateful for a God Who Values People

Pray by naming one decision where a helpful outcome could hide a costly human loss. Ask God to show you every person affected, to soften any cold calculation in you, and to give you wisdom that keeps dignity in view.

Pray Before You Call It Best

Father, give leaders, managers, and all who decide for others a conscience that will not trade away one person for convenience. Let truth, mercy, and courage guide them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wisdom for Leaders and Decision-Makers

Bring before God anyone who feels used, overlooked, or spoken about as a means to an end; the places in your own heart where efficiency has dulled compassion; and the grace to remember each person as precious to God.

For the One Who Feels Counted as a Number
