Take the cost yourself so others are spared

Guard your own comfort and leave others exposed

Help only if it does not inconvenience you

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. Thank you for loving me and for standing in the place of others. Come into my life, forgive me, and lead me from this day on. Amen.

Receive the One Who Stands for You

Lord, revive your Church to look like Jesus here. Where we protect ourselves first, teach us to protect the vulnerable; where we cling to our own comfort, teach us to bear cost for another's good; where we have forgotten sacrificial love, awaken us again, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Protective Love

Father, when I am tempted to think only of my own safety, help me trust Jesus and follow his way. Teach me to make room for others, to absorb inconvenience with love, and to choose their good ahead of my comfort, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Keep Me From Self-Protection

Pray for: people who are in danger because of the choices or pressure around them; leaders and caregivers who must keep others safe; those who are asked to bear the cost for someone else's good; a church that knows when to step aside so others can go in peace.

For People Carrying the Weight

Pray by naming one place where someone needs room, safety, or protection. Ask God to show you whether you should step in, step back, or carry the cost so another person is spared.

Pray for a Protective Response

Lord Jesus, thank you that you do not use your strength only for yourself. Thank you for the mercy that protects others and the love that takes the harder path so they can go free. Teach me to praise you with a life that reflects your care, Amen.

Thank You for Standing in the Place of Others
