Pause, listen carefully, and let it search your heart.

Brush it off so you can stay comfortable.

Use it only to score points against someone else.

Wait until the feeling disappears and never return to it.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to run from your truth. I turn from my sin and my self-protection. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead my life with mercy and truth. Amen.

Receive Jesus in Truth

Lord, revive your Church to hear your word with humility instead of resistance. When your truth exposes us, soften our hearts, awaken our conscience, and lead us quickly to repentance and obedience. Let our fear become reverence and wisdom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to Hear

Father, when a hard truth unsettles me, keep me from panic and denial. Give me courage to listen, humility to receive what is true, and peace that leads to wise action, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Peace for a Troubled Heart

Thank God that his truth can reach the heart, even when it first feels unsettling. Give thanks that fear can become a mercy if it leads us to listen, repent, and seek what is right.

Thank You for Truth That Wakes Us

Pray by naming one statement, warning, or conviction that has disturbed you. Ask God to show you what is true, to soften your heart, and to give you one obedient next step.

Ask for a Humble Response

Pray for leaders, decision-makers, and anyone in authority who hears hard truth: that they would not dismiss it, but would respond with honesty, courage, and a teachable spirit; and that their fear would lead them toward what is right.

Pray for Those in Authority
