Go mainly to make a strong impression on other people.

Assume everyday gatherings do not matter to God.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and turned away from your ways. I need your mercy and I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Come into my life, forgive me, and lead me through my ordinary days. Amen.

Lord, revive your Church to honor the places where life actually happens — homes, towns, meals, and celebrations. Make us present, joyful, and attentive to the people around us. Restore our faithfulness in the small scenes, and let your life shine through our everyday love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Us in the Ordinary

Lord, thank you for the gift of shared celebrations, family gatherings, and the simple goodness of being together. Thank you that you are near in ordinary joy as well as in dramatic moments. Teach us to receive these moments with gratitude and care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
