Take clear steps to stop the misuse and restore reverence

Keep benefiting from it as long as it works

Leave it alone and focus only on private devotion

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, my heart has often been cluttered by sin, pride, and selfish gain. I admit that I have not honored God as I should, and I cannot clean myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to cleanse my life. Be my Lord, drive out what does not belong, and make me wholly yours. Amen.

Let Jesus Cleanse My Life

Lord, revive your people and make us holy. Drive out greed, distraction, and every misuse of what belongs to you. Give your church courage to honor your house, purity in worship, and love for what is right, so that our lives may reflect your goodness to the world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Cleanse Your Church Again

Father, I confess the ways I have mixed worship with selfish motives, routine, and distraction. Clear out what does not belong, and overturn every hidden idol in my heart. Teach me to honor you with a clean and honest life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Clear the Clutter in Me

Pray by naming one area where your faith has become cluttered, compromised, or routine. Ask Jesus to show you what needs to be removed, then ask for one concrete step that will help you honor God more clearly today.

Pray for a Clearer Heart

Thank God for Jesus’ zeal for what is pure, for his courage to confront misuse, and for his care for what is set apart for worship. Thank him that he does not ignore what damages holy things.

Thank You for Holy Zeal

Pray for church leaders, volunteers, and all who handle money, spaces, and trust in God’s house; for integrity where temptation is strong; and for protection from turning sacred things into a source of personal gain.
