Receive the Living Lord

Lord, revive your Church so we do not live as if Jesus were distant. Let us know the risen Christ by faith, remember his wounded love, and rejoice in his presence. Turn dull religion into glad worship, fear into bold witness, and silence into praise, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Awaken Your Church to Joy

Bring these to God: thanks that Jesus does not stay hidden; gratitude that his wounds reveal love, not defeat; praise that sorrow can turn to joy; wonder that the Lord is alive and near.

Thanks for Showing Yourself

Lord, when my heart feels closed or uncertain, show me again that you are truly alive. Let the reality of your presence quiet my fear, brighten my sorrow, and give me the gladness of knowing the Lord. Make my heart quick to rejoice in you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Open My Heart to Your Presence

Pray by naming one place where your heart feels heavy, then ask God to help you recognize the risen Lord there. Thank him for one reason you have to hope, and ask for a joy that is honest and steady.

Pray for Glad Trust

Pray for: someone grieving who needs reassurance that Jesus is alive; courage to point others to the Lord rather than yourself; and a simple testimony that tells what Christ has done with joy.
