Pause, learn carefully, and let understanding shape your teaching

Keep speaking confidently so the title still carries weight

Avoid every hard question so no one notices the gap

Assume the role itself will eventually make up for understanding

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and tried to live by my own wisdom. I need your mercy and your truth. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to follow you with a humble heart. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church where we have become satisfied with titles but thin in understanding. Make us humble, hungry to learn, and ready to be corrected by your word. Let our teaching and our living match, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew a Teachable Church

Father, I confess that I have sometimes spoken before I understood and leaned on reputation instead of wisdom. Forgive me, turn me from pride, and make me quick to listen and ready to learn, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

From Presumption to Humility

Pray by naming one area where you may have confidence without clear understanding, asking God to correct you gently, and asking for one practical step to learn more before you speak.

Pray for a Teachable Mind

Pray for: people who teach Scripture or guide others; honesty to admit when they do not know; courage to keep learning; and wisdom to lead from understanding rather than assumption.

For Teachers and Leaders

Lord, thank you that you do not leave me comfortable in ignorance. Thank you for words that expose what I need to learn and for grace to grow in wisdom, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank God for Honest Correction
