Press harder so the other person knows you are right

Stop talking about faith so disagreement can never happen

Treat the other person as an enemy because they disagree

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your cleansing. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Wash me and make me new. Amen.

Cleanse Me, Lord Jesus

Father, revive your Church where our conversations have become arguments and our zeal has lost humility. Cleanse our hearts, soften our words, and make us eager for peace and truth together. Let us reflect your purity in the way we speak and listen, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Peace

Father, when a discussion begins to harden into a dispute, help me slow down, listen well, and speak with grace. Keep me from needing to win, and lead me to what is true and pure, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Calm Speech in Hard Conversations

Bring to God any pride, defensiveness, quick temper, or love of argument. Ask him to purify your motives so that your words become honest, humble, and peaceable.

Turning from Pride in Disagreements

Pray for followers of Jesus who disagree about practices of cleansing, for churches where debates are becoming divisive, and for peacemakers who can help people listen with patience and respect.

Peace for Divided Conversations

Begin by thanking God that he cares about purity and that he can clean what is stained in us. Then name one conversation that needs his wisdom, and ask for a clear mind and a gentle tone.

Thank God for Cleansing and Clarity
