Their thirst is ended and life grows from within

They stay thirsty, but gain stronger feelings

The person must prove worthy before receiving it

Turn to Jesus first when you feel empty, trusting his gift

Keep looking for quick fixes until the dry feeling passes

Try to earn a better life before you ask for help

Treat the promise as future only, with no present effect

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to satisfy my thirst apart from you. I turn from my sin and believe that you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me, come into my life, and give me the living water that only you can give. Amen.

Come to Jesus for Living Water

Father, revive your Church with a fresh thirst for Jesus. Where we have settled for shallow wells, draw us back to the living water your Son gives. Make us a people who overflow with life and carry that life into a dry world, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Thirsty Church

Thank God for Jesus’ gift that ends spiritual thirst; thank him for the inner renewal his gift brings; thank him that his life reaches beyond the moment and into eternity.

Grateful for the Water That Lasts

Lord, I bring you the places in me that still feel dry. Replace empty substitutes with the water Jesus gives, and let his life satisfy me from within, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Satisfy My Empty Places

Name one area of life where you feel most thirsty, ask Jesus to meet you there, and then ask for one small step that helps you turn to him again today.

Pray When You Feel Dry

Pray for someone who seems weary, empty, or stuck on temporary things; ask God to open a door for gentle care; ask that your words and actions would point them toward Jesus' life-giving gift.
