Their ancestors worshiped on this mountain.

They say Jerusalem is where worship should happen.

Both sides agree on the same worship place.

The verse says place does not matter at all.

Listen carefully and hold your own preference with humility.

Insist that the way you grew up must be the only faithful option.

Treat the disagreement as a reason to stop gathering for worship.

Say location never matters, so people should never care where they worship.

I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. I believe you are Lord and I need your mercy. Receive me, forgive me, and lead me into true worship. Amen.

Come to Jesus in Faith

Father, revive your Church when we turn worship into a contest of places and preferences. Give us humility, love for one another, and a fresh hunger to honor you above our own traditions. Teach us to worship with one heart, and let our unity point others to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Worship Well

Pray by naming one worship preference or habit that matters too much to you. Ask God to show you whether it is helping you honor him or just defend your own way. Then ask for one gentle step toward humility today.

Ask for a Humble Heart

Bring these to God: pride in your tradition; irritation when others worship differently; a habit of making your preferred place or style the standard for everyone else.

Lay Down Pride in Worship

Pray for: Christians who disagree about worship practices; leaders who must guide people with patience; churches to be united by love for God more than by location or custom.

Peace Among Worshipers

Father, thank you that you are not confined to one mountain or one city. Grow in me a heart that honors you wherever I am, and help me love other worshipers with grace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
