Assume the other person is against you and answer defensively

Keep going without reflection as long as you think your motive is good

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from trusting myself, and I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Be my Lord and Savior; heal my heart, forgive me, and teach me to follow you with a humble and obedient life. Amen.

Come to the One Who Heals

Lord, revive your Church so we do not rush past mercy or delight only in rules. Give us hearts that honor your holy rest, ears that listen before we judge, and compassion for those you have restored. Make us a people who reflect your kindness and truth, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Mercy and Wisdom in Your Church

Father, thank you for the healing you give and for the goodness of your ways. Thank you that your commands are not empty, and that you teach us to live with reverence and care. Help me receive both your mercy and your instruction with gratitude, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Healing and Holy Order

Father, when I am corrected or questioned, keep me from pride and defensiveness. Give me a gentle spirit, wisdom to pause, and courage to examine my choices honestly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

A Gentle Spirit When Corrected

Name one situation where you feel challenged by rules, expectations, or criticism. Ask God to help you listen first, to show you what is right, and to keep your heart calm before you answer.

Pray Before You React

Pray for anyone who is trying to obey God and is still misunderstood by others; for leaders who must speak truth with mercy; and for people to recognize when healing and holiness belong together.
