Hear Jesus' word and trust the One who sent him

Respect Jesus' word but rely mainly on your own goodness

Trust the Sender, but keep Jesus' word at arm's length

Wait for extra proof before you decide to trust

It promises outward success and an easier life

Keep returning to Jesus' words and letting them shape your choices

Treat the message as useful information, but leave your habits unchanged

Rely mainly on your own record of being good enough

Wait to trust until you feel fully certain by yourself

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I cannot give myself life. I turn from my sin and believe that you died for me and rose again. I trust you as Lord, and I receive your word as true for me. Bring me out of death and into life, and make me yours. Amen.

Receive the Life-Giving Son

Lord, revive your Church to hear your word and trust the One who sent you. Where we have settled for empty religion, give us living faith; where fear of judgment has silenced joy, restore the freedom of your life; where we have grown dull, make us attentive again, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Hear

Father, thank you that the one who hears Jesus and trusts you receives eternal life, not condemnation. Thank you for crossing us from death into life through your Son. Let gratitude shape how we listen today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Life and Rescue

Pray by naming one place where you need to listen more carefully to Jesus. Then ask God to deepen your trust, steady you when fear rises, and show you one next step of obedience today.

Praying to Hear and Trust

Pray for one person who feels trapped by guilt, uncertainty, or spiritual deadness. Ask God to give them ears to hear Jesus' word, faith to trust the One who sent him, and a real crossing into life, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Someone Still Stuck in Fear

Lord, help me keep listening to Jesus and trusting the Father who sent him. Keep me from depending on my own goodness, and let the promise of eternal life steady my heart and choices today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
