40. Formal Translation For this is the will of My Father {pater, Sovereign Giver of Life}, that everyone who beholds the Son {huios, Life-Giving Messiah} and believes in Him may have everlasting life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day. |
40. Dynamic Translation For this is what My Father {pater, Gracious Life Giver} wants, that everyone who looks to the Son {huios, Trusted Redeemer} and puts trust in Him will have eternal life, and I will raise that person up on the final day. |
