Wait until the last minute and see if you feel like it

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from relying on myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I trust you to forgive me, make me new, and lead my life. Be my Lord and my Savior. Amen.

Come Near to Jesus

Lord, as your people once gathered for the feast, awaken your Church to hunger for your presence. Keep us from treating your holy times as ordinary, and make us ready, joyful, and reverent when you call us near. Renew worship, restore anticipation, and bring us back to you with whole hearts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your People to Draw Near

Bring these to God: thanks for seasons that call his people together; gratitude that he still invites us near; praise for the rhythms that remind us to stop, gather, and worship.

Gratitude for Holy Seasons

Before an upcoming worship service or gathering, pray by naming the date, asking God to help you make room for it, and asking him to give you a willing heart instead of a distracted one.

Pray for Readiness

Father, I pray for people who feel far from your people or far from your house. Draw them near, remove distraction and discouragement, and help them recognize your invitation when it comes. Give them a place among your gathered people, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Who Miss the Invitation

Bring these to God: a desire to notice his invitations sooner, a habit of making room for worship, and a deeper eagerness to meet him when holy time approaches.
