Respond now and pay close attention to what he says

Wait until later, when it feels easier to obey

Treat his words as background noise for now

Assume there will always be another chance later

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you came from the Father, and I need you. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I turn from my sin and ask you to forgive me. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and trust you to lead my life. Amen.

Receive the Lord Who Was Sent

Lord, revive your Church so we do not sleep through the time we have with you. Give us alert hearts, quick obedience, and deep trust when your season changes. Let us live as people who know we are sent, and make us ready for your work, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Ready

Name one place where you have been delaying. Ask Jesus to show you what must be done now, then ask for courage to take the next faithful step today.

Pray for a Ready Heart

Bring these to God: gratitude that Jesus' coming and going were purposeful; thanks that he obeyed the One who sent him; gratitude that God's timing is not random.

Thank God for Jesus' Faithful Mission

Pray for: someone who is postponing a needed response; a friend who needs to notice Jesus' words now; people facing a closing season who need courage and clarity.

Pray for Others to Hear and Respond

Father, teach me to live awake to your timing. Help me hear Jesus clearly, obey without delay, and trust you when one season ends and another begins, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me to Live With Urgency
