Streams that give life are said to flow from within the believer

The promise is earned by spiritual effort

Keep trusting Jesus as your source and let that life spill over to others

Keep the refreshment private so no one expects change

Try to prove spiritual fullness by outward effort alone

Look for another source of renewal before turning to Jesus

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to live apart from you. I need your mercy and the life you give. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as Lord. Come into my life, refresh my heart, and let your life flow in me. Amen.

Receive the Life-Giver

Lord, revive your Church to trust you deeply and receive the life you give. Where we have become dry, let your renewing presence rise within us; where we have kept your life to ourselves, teach us to overflow with grace, truth, and compassion to the world around us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Refresh Your Church

Pray by naming one place in your life that feels dry or tired, ask Jesus to refresh it from within, and ask him to help that renewal reach someone else today.

Pray for Inner Renewal

Thank God for Jesus as the source of life you cannot manufacture, for any way his words, people, or Scripture have refreshed you, and for the hope that his life is meant to overflow into ordinary relationships.

Thank You for the Gift of Life

Lord Jesus, keep me trusting you and drawing from you each day. Do not let me settle for outward religion without inner life. Fill what is empty, steady what is restless, and let your life flow through me to others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Stay Close to the Source

Bring these before God: a person who feels spiritually weary, a place where faith has grown thin, and one opportunity for your words or kindness to bring refreshment to someone this week.

For Someone Who Feels Dry
