Avoid asking anything so you do not seem intrusive

Use the moment to explain your own views first

Open My Eyes, Lord Jesus

Lord, wake your Church up to ask honest questions, to listen well, and to bear faithful witness to what you have done. Where we have grown careless or silent, give us fresh wonder and courage. Let us point others to your work with humility and joy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to See and Speak

Thank you, Lord, for every time you open understanding and make your works known. Thank you for healing that invites questions, for stories that draw people to wonder, and for the chance to speak plainly about what you have done.

Thank You for Opening Eyes

Pray by naming one thing you do not yet understand, asking God for light about it, and asking for a humble heart that listens before judging. Then ask him for one careful question to ask the right person today.

Pray for Honest Understanding

Lord, grow in me patience, humility, and truthful curiosity. Keep me from rushing past people's stories, and help me ask questions that honor what you have done in them.

Teach Me to Listen

Pray for someone who is asking hard questions about Jesus: that they would be given honest answers, a safe place to ask, and a willingness to see what you are doing. Pray that their questions would lead them closer to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
