16. Formal Translation Therefore some of the Pharisees kept saying, "This man is not from God {Theos, Contested Commission}, because He does not keep the Sabbath." Others kept saying, "How is a man who is a sinner able to do such signs?" And a division arose among them. |
16. Dynamic Translation Then some of the Pharisees were saying, "This person cannot be from God {Theos, Authorizing Source}, because He does not observe the Sabbath." But others were saying, "How can a sinful person perform signs like these?" So they were split among themselves. |
