6. Formal Translation And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, “Do not dishevel your heads, and do not tear your garments, so that you will not die and the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge} will not become angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the entire house of Israel, may weep for the burning that the LORD has kindled.” |
6. Dynamic Translation Moses told Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “Do not let your hair go unkempt, and do not rip your clothes, or you will die—and the LORD {Yahweh, Community Judge} will be angry with all the people. But your relatives, the whole family of Israel, may weep for the fire that the LORD has ignited.” |
