It opens with the directional phrase ve-el petah ohel moed {וְאֶל־פֶּ֜תַח אֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד | wə-ʾel pĕ-ṭaḥ ʾō-hel mō-ʿēd} ‘sanctuary entrance.’ A negative clause ‘does not bring it’ establishes the ongoing requirement, immediately followed by the purpose clause ‘to make it an offering to the LORD.’ The apodosis begins with ‘and shall be cut off,’ delivering the consequence of exclusion for ha-ish ha-hu me-ammav {הָאִ֥ישׁ הַה֖וּא מֵעַמָּֽיו | ha-ʾîš ha-hû mē-ʿam-māw} ‘his people.’ This structure tightly links ritual compliance to communal standing. |
