| 26. Formal Translation However, the firstborn to the LORD {Yahweh, Owner of all life} among animals must not be dedicated. Whether it is an ox or a sheep, it belongs to the LORD. |
| 26. Dynamic Translation But no one may dedicate any animal {behemah: livestock, domesticated animal} that is already the firstborn, because the firstborn already belongs to the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Claim}. Whether it is an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD’s. |
