7. Formal Translation
But if he cannot afford a lamb, then he shall bring as his guilt offering for the sin that he has committed two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant LORD}: one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering.
7. Dynamic Translation
If a person’s means do not suffice for a lamb, he should bring to the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant LORD} two turtledoves or two young pigeons as the penalty for the sin he committed: one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
