Let what God has made present take first place

Let the sacred place itself decide how close you are to God

Keep honoring the place, but do not let the claim change your priorities

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, you are greater than every temple and every place I have trusted. I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I turn from my sin and I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to live at the center of my life. Make your living presence the center of my life. Amen.

Receive the One Greater Than the Temple

Lord, revive your Church to treasure your presence above buildings, routines, and traditions. Where we have made places or habits the center, turn our hearts back to you. Make us a people who honor what you have made greater, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church's Awe

Father, thank you that your presence is not confined to sacred space. Thank you that you have brought near the greater reality we need. Teach me to receive your nearness with gratitude and reverence, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Your Greater Presence

Name one place, routine, or tradition you have been leaning on too much. Ask God to show you how to honor the greater reality he has placed before you, and then ask for one simple step of obedience this week.

Pray for Reordered Priorities

Bring these to God: a desire to value his presence above appearances; willingness to let sacred habits stay secondary; openness to being corrected when something smaller has taken first place.

Grow in Reverence

Pray for people who respect religion but have not yet recognized what God is doing right in front of them. Ask for open eyes, soft hearts, and the courage to respond to the living Lord.
