It is mostly about embarrassment rather than harm

It is a one-time accident with no pattern

Bring the need openly to God and ask for help

Tell them to be stronger before you get involved

Wait until you can explain the cause before you care

Keep your distance so you will not be burdened

Bring these to God: a heart that notices suffering quickly; patience when the need does not disappear right away; courage to keep asking for mercy; tenderness toward families carrying long-term fear.

Mercy That Returns Again and Again

Lord, draw near to every child and family who feel trapped by repeated harm. Give safety where there has been danger, peace where there has been fear, and wise help through the people around them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
