Come to the Glorious Christ

Lord, wake your Church to the glory of Jesus. Where we have become casual, restore reverence; where we have become dull, restore wonder; where we have become proud, transform us again as we behold your Son. Let his brightness shape our worship and our witness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church With Awe

Father, thank you that you did not leave your Son hidden, but showed his glory before his friends. Thank you for the gift of seeing something of who he is. Fill me with gratitude and praise, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Revealing Jesus

Read the verse slowly and name the part of Jesus' glory that stands out to you. Ask God to give you a clearer view of his holiness, and then ask for one way that clearer view should change your trust or obedience today.

Pray to See Him More Clearly

Pray for someone who knows Jesus only as an idea, that they would glimpse his beauty and be drawn to worship. Pray also for believers who have grown numb, that they would see his glory again and respond with awe.

For Others to See His Beauty

Lord, when I cannot sense your greatness, remind me that Jesus is glorious even when my feelings are dull. Let your light steady my heart, soften my pride, and draw me back to reverence and trust, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
