Exegesis

The verse begins with kai metemorphothe {καὶ μετεμορφώθη | kaí metemorphṓthē} ‘and he was transformed’, where the conjunction kai connects this miraculous event to the preceding narrative and the aorist passive verb portrays it as a completed divine action upon Him.
