Choose to forgive again rather than setting a small cap

Keep forgiving only until it starts to feel unreasonable

Track each offense so you know when mercy should end

Forgive once, then wait for the other person to earn more

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself clean. I turn from my sin and from holding on to unforgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I trust you to forgive me and make me new. Teach me to live in your mercy. Amen.

Receive the Mercy You Need

Lord, revive your Church so we do not count mercy too tightly or withhold forgiveness too quickly. Soften what has grown hard, heal what has been wounded, and make us quick to forgive as you have forgiven us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your People in Mercy

Father, I confess the ways I keep score, replay injuries, and protect my grudges. Help me release what I want to hold onto and forgive as you have forgiven me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lay Down the Ledger

Pray by naming one person you have found hard to forgive, ask God for a softer heart, and ask for one small step that could move the relationship toward peace.

Pray for the Next Open Hand

Pray for: a person who keeps hurting you; wisdom to forgive without pretending there was no harm; and the grace to stop counting wounds.

Mercy for Others

Father, thank you that you do not run out of mercy toward me. Teach me to receive your patience and pass it on freely to others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
