A wealthy person will enter God's reign with difficulty.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have trusted money, status, and my own strength more than you. I have sinned and turned away from your kingdom. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and confess you as my Lord and Savior. Take first place in my life and lead me into your kingdom. Amen.

Father, revive your Church where we have learned to measure life by wealth, comfort, and status. Make us humble disciples who hear Jesus' warning, trust you more than money, and seek your kingdom above all. Free us from the fear of losing things, and teach us to live for what lasts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

God, thank you that Jesus speaks plainly to his disciples and tells the truth about the danger of wealth. Thank you that his warning is loving and protective. Give us grateful hearts that receive his words and respond with obedience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Jesus' Honest Warning

Pray by naming one place where money or security has too much weight in your heart. Ask God to show you what he is saying through this verse, and ask for one small step toward a freer, kingdom-first life.

Pray for a Freer Heart

Bring wealthy believers, leaders, business owners, and families before God: ask that abundance would not harden them, that generosity would grow, and that they would enter the kingdom with humility and joy.

For Those With Much

Bring these to God: any attachment to possessions, any anxiety about security, and any habit of measuring your worth by what you have. Ask him to free you to value his kingdom above all else.
