Exegesis
The subordinate clause hotan kathise ho huios tou anthropou epi thronou doxēs autou {ὅταν καθίσῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπὶ θρόνου δόξης αὐτοῦ | hó-tan ka-thí-sē ho hy-iós toû an-thrṓ-pou e-pí thró-nou dóx-ēs au-toû} ‘when the Son of Man sits on His throne of glory’ uses the subjunctive for a future event.
