Whether divorce is allowed only in a few rare situations

Whether a marriage can be treated as optional once problems begin

Slow down, clarify the real issue, and answer truthfully without turning the exchange into a trap

Use a sharper trick so the other person feels cornered

Stay silent even if a clear answer would help

Protect your image first and deal with the truth later

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot save myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from pride, manipulation, and every hidden motive. Forgive me, lead me, and be my Lord. Teach me to come to you with honesty and trust. Amen.

Come to Jesus in Truth

Lord, revive your Church to come to Jesus with sincerity, not with traps. Cleanse our motives, soften our hearts, and teach us to ask hard questions with humility and truth. Make us people who seek what is right more than what wins, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Seek Truth

Pray by naming the situation, the person, and the real issue. Ask God for calm, clarity, and a truthful answer, and ask him to keep you from manipulation or fear.

Pray Before a Hard Conversation

Bring to God: the desire to win an argument, the temptation to ask questions as a trap, the fear that makes you defensive, and the need for honest speech.

Lay Down the Trap

Lord, where marriages are strained, bring humility, patience, forgiveness, and wise help. Guard couples from careless words and from treating covenant love as disposable. Heal what is broken and lead people toward what is right and peaceable, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Heal What Is Strained

Pray for: people in tense conversations; the grace to answer hard questions without malice; protection from pride, sarcasm, and manipulation; and courage to choose truth over winning.
